Trail Tuned Suspension

Rise SL and LT feature uniquely tuned suspension platforms, each dialed for the ideal balance of support and sensitivity to match their intended ride style.

Concentric Boost

Concentric Boost is our proprietary suspension design, where there is a pivot point at the rear axel. As well as keeping the suspension active under braking, our system uses less parts, removing weight, adding rigidity and improving reliabiltiy.

Light and Capable

Rise delivers natural handling that feels closer to the agility and playfulness of a traditional MTB, thanks to its lower weight and carefully balanced stiffness.

How we tune rigidity

Tuning stiffnesses is hard, maybe why it is so often neglected. Computer modelling and lab tests can take you only so far. The key for us is correlating results from these tests with real-world testing. For that we count on our OOLabs team.

Asymmetric is efficient

Rise´s new asymmetric frame design, already proven in the new Occam and Rallon, is key to finding the perfect structural performance. The position of the brace, together with our SBS battery design increases torsional rigidity. The result? The best ride performance, meaning precise, confident handling no matter what the trail.

Secure Battery System (SBS)

Our SBS system removes any compromises in the frame structure. This allows us to remove weight and increase stiffness where needed.

Size specific stiffness

The asymmetric frame´s design permits us the freedom to tune the rigidity for each size, making sure that as tube lengths and leverages change the feel of Rise stays the same.

Rear triangle & linkage design

Increasing rear triangle stiffness was key. Testing on the trail and in the laboratory both agreed. Finding the sweet spot took many prototypes and tests. We redesigned the shock linkage and the shape of the tubes which make up the rear triangle. The result is a 14% increase in Rear Triangle stiffness.

High Performance Alloy or Carbon

The most advanced materials, the best designs, and the highest manufacturing standards mean we can offer Rise in Alloy or Carbon with all the same great features, such as Size-Tuned Stiffness and Steep'n'Deep. OMR Carbon. High Polish Alloy.

Steep'n'Deep

Long-travel droppers are the only way! Rise you can fit up to a 230mm dropper. Steep'N'Deep has set a new standard in bike design. The ability to fit a long travel dropper lets riders drop the saddle right out of the way on the descents, giving more space to move and more control. Now all riders should be able to fully insert a 200mm dropper and on sizes L and XL that increases to an astonishing 230mm.

Optimized chainstay length

One important factor in handling is chainstay length. In general, shorter chainstays give a more playful bike. With eBikes this is especially important because due to the low down weight they can be less agile. However the motors often limits how short the chainstays can be, having a negative impact on handling. With RISE, thanks to optimized contruction and clever frame design we are able to offer the same chainstay length on Rise as we did on Occam.

Conquer The Climbs with 85Nm of Tuned, Natural Assistance

Our RS Gen2 MC tune combines high torque with natural power, a balance that sets Rise apart. Up to 85 Nm of torque gives strong support at low cadences for smoother, more controlled technical climbs. The balanced power means Rise gains more range from a smaller battery, staying lighter, more agile, with range for big days and epic adventures.

When it comes to eMTBs, Rise is in a class of its own. It's tuned, balanced assistance combines the technical climbing ability of heavier more powerful models with the agile handling of lightweight eMTBs. A true best of both worlds approach.

This is what we call our RS Gen 2 MC motor tune.

Our Generation 2 firmware and electronic system makes it possible to set the motors torque output up to 85Nm. Our MC tune is specially designed for the optimum trail riding experience.

RS and RS+: Longer Range or More Power

Rise’s RS Gen2 MC tune is designed for the best trail riding experience. Because every adventure is different, you can choose between two modes: one for longer days with maximum range, and another for shorter, faster rides with more assistance. The system offers two modes, RS and RS+.

RS

Ready for epic adventures. RS is the longest range mode, with lower torque. This is for riders who want to maximise range, and also want to do more excercise. It is also a great option for lighter riders who find full torque difficult to control.

RS+

Tackle the toughest climbs. RS+ takes advantage of the full 85Nm of torque to give a ride that feels natural and powerful when you are pushing harder.

Or have it your way. These are our preferred settings for RS and RS+, however you can configure each mode to suit your rides using the Shimano E-Tube app.

Shimano EP Motors

The EP is Shimano's latest, lightest and most intelligent motor system, weighing from as little as 2.7 kg. Our RS firmware adds more range and a natural feeling. Shimano Freeshift: Shimano´s EP motors are fully compatible with Freeshift on bikes with Di2 electronic shifting. Shimano Collaboration: Working with Shimano to develop an exclusive EP motor tuned to our own specifications has always been key to RISE’s success. Realizing RS Gen 2 meant enhancing communication between motor and battery, and optimizing our batteries for improved cooling and maximum peak power. The result is a seamless system with no power bottlenecks and flawless performance.

Advanced Batteries

Our new batteries offer the highest energy densities of the market. That means more range and less weight. We are able to increase the capacity by 16% for the same weight. Our batteries are some of the lightest and slimmest examples out there, based on the latest generation 5.8Ah cells. Packing more energy into a smaller space with less weight is key for lightweight e-bikes. Designing our own batteries lets us create unique solutions which integrate better with our frames, using frame space more intelligently, lowering center of gravity and offering better performance.

Our new RS Control System is an integrated solution that combines motor control, ride display, and the dropper post into one seamless experience. It’s lighter than mechanical setups, simpler than other electronic systems, and fully powered by Rise’s main battery.

The New RS Control System

The new RS control system combines e-bike controls, ride information, and smart dropper functionality into a single ecosystem, linked by our communication system and controlled by a compact, and intuitive remote. The whole system has been developed in-house. This innovation offers riders a completely new level of control and a seamless interaction with their bike.

New Interface: RS HMI

Seamless Ergonomics and Smart Functionality. The new handlebar remote integrates motor control, dropper control, and ride information into a single, ergonomic unit. As well as improving on the expected features we have added some new “Smart” features which bring totally new functions.

Motor Control Features

As soon as you touch it, you feel the difference. Larger, textured buttons offer clear tactile feedback, even with gloves on, ensuring every input is precise and instinctive.

Display & Dropper Features

All integreated into the same unit, the dropper lever is replacable and adjustable for perfect positioning, while the easy-to-read LED display gives you all the information you need at a glance.

New Smart Dropper: MC10 RS

Lightweight Precision. The MC10 RS Dropper is a key part of the system, and is simply one of the most complete droppers on the market today. As well as the best traditional mechanical features, the dropper features a time-of-flight sensor to unlock new smart features.
